You Are The Greatest Healer Of Your Life
People are brought into your life for a reason. The reason (or reasons) may not always be evident in the beginning. But I promise you that at some point in your life you will have a clearer understanding as to why. Before I proceed, however, let me tell you something important; you are a healer. We are all healers. And we also all need healing. We are each brought into one another’s lives to learn, heal and grow. However, when does one decide to walk away from those that don’t allow us to be a guiding light of healing energy for them? This is a question with which a lot of people who are aware of their healing ability and purpose in life struggles. But I finally figured out the answer to this essential question, and it just may blow your mind.
you are a healer.
We are all healers.
And we also all need healing.
Let me start with an analysis of free will. We all have free will that allows us to consciously make choices that can change the course of our life’s journey. So, even though someone enters into your life in need of healing does not mean he/she will be healed. Basically, when we connect to another, we are allowing the opportunity for an awakening to be present, and that may or may not be well received. To learn, accept healing and grow is a choice. This choice cannot be forced. Yet I find that a lot of people try to force healing onto another. This may actually work for a short period of time but, if forced, it is not an authentic change to one’s understanding of the self. For example, I could sit you down in a chair and tell you that the pink pen I am holding is purple. If I were to provide all my reasoning as to why it is a purple pen, eventually you might agree with me (even if it were just to end the discussion). But once we go our separate ways, and you look at that pen again, you will likely go back to your understanding and belief that the pen is pink.
To learn, accept healing and grow is a choice.
So, what does a healer who cannot successfully force healing onto another (even though the opportunity has clearly presented itself) do? The answer is ultimately simple…heal thyself instead.
First and foremost, who determines who needs healing - you or the other person? Let that thought sink in for a minute. We are all merely reflections of one another. By living your life with this understanding will allow you to see when healing still needs to take place within yourself first. This can often be very confusing, especially when the issues at hand are ones that you may feel that you’ve already worked out. Well, clearly, there are always still lessons to be learned. Allow yourself to be brutally honest by acknowledging the areas of your life where healing still needs to take place and be open to a potentially higher realization of the Self. I believe that there is no good in being stagnant. If you are not moving forward, you are most likely moving backwards. Allow yourself to move forward by growing each and everyday.
So, as you are focusing on yourself, you are also setting an example for those around you because actions, as we all know, speak louder than words. A majority of us learn best by observing and absorbing the change we see in others. When one begins to see and feel another’s self-healing, it can often trigger a substantial self-awareness and the creation of a “keeping up with the Jones’s” effect. However, I want to be clear that this is not always the case. Some individuals will do whatever they can in order to bring the other person back down to the same level they once were on together. This is very important to recognize. We must all be aware of the actions and inactions of others in order to correctly continue down the path of inner growth and not be misled, intentionally or unintentionally, by others.
A great beauty of healing is that it is constant. There is always a way to improve upon the self. The ability to learn, heal and grow allows for life to be an adventure every single day. I believe in you and your ability to be self-aware. You, my dear, are the greatest healer of your life.
